A wacky and wild backstage farce by the author of Lend Me A Tenor. An acting couple are on tour with a repertory company in Buffalo in 1953 when fate gives them one more shot at starring roles. Director Frank Capra himself is en route to Buffalo to catch their performance. Hilarious misunderstandings pile on madcap misadventures. “The play is nothing less than a love letter to live theater." - Boston Herald |

The show centers around a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School. Six quirky adolescents compete in the Bee, run by three equally-quirky grown-ups. The young people learn that winning isn't everything
and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser. |
